System Turns Off

I have a problem when I turn my system up too loud it just turns off. The whole system resets its not just one thing its everything. Anyone know why?

Your voltage is dropping to much from not having enough alternator and when that happens it will do what you described.

first what all are you running? also what all is turning off? just your amp and subs or you mean like hu and stuff too?

are you running stock battery? many stock batteries just barely start the car

i got head unit, 2 infinity 5.25, 2 infinity 6x9s, 2 type Rs running off a 500w Alpine mono amp.

500 watts should be fine on a stock alt, prob got a loose wire somewhere. recheck your wiring.

also check you gain, even tho that shouldn't be the problem considering its only 500 watts as you stated.

try doing Big 3

my friends car does the same thing.. he has the exact same car as me but i have a yellowtop and big 3 and no problems here.. used to have HO alt but dont need it anymore since im running under 1,000 watts

possibly, depending on how old your battery is it may need to be replaced right now. I was running 1000 watts in my old car fine, no problems. also big 3 wouldn't do much considering you aren't running a H/O alt.

alternator to (+) battery, battery (-) to chassis, engine ground to chassis

What Mike just said is the Big 3 and my friend had the sammmme problem and all he has is a 500watt amp but a shity battery. He changed his battery and everything was fine afterwards.
