i have a alpine 9881 that i am trying to install in a 1995 ford contour and it will not turn on. yes i have checked all of the fuse in it and replaced all of the blown ones plz help so i can here my sub

Blown fuses usually mean something bad was done to it...... the unit could be damaged.

how is that possible, so this deck was once used? like MS said it could be damaged, sometimes the fuse doesnt save the deck itself, best thing to do is twist the ignition and constant power wire together and hook it up to a booster pack if it doesnt turn on start looking for new decks

the head unit works when i hook it up straight to the battery. it works when i put it in my other car

chect your factory wiring with a test light or DMM. Make sure both hots are getting power.. Check fuses.
Note: One of the hots will only get power with ignition on.

ok i fixed it. the ground was bad in the main car wring harness
