JL 10W7 and 500/1 amp

mathew johnson New member Username: Mathxew Post Number: 9 Registered: Feb-08	Posted on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 - 04:21 GMT My alternator can't handle much more than 500 watts, so anything more powerful is out of the question.(I don't want to have to add a HO alternator) Is there anything that will sound better/ hit harder than this sub and amp, for the same, or less money? Also if i go with this, is the manufacture ported box design the best overall design?

Does the box help keep it cool? If i just put it in a ported box can i safely run it at 750?
