Ok so I am thinking of buying a 15" MAW from a dude on CA for $100 shipped. I already have a 15 ported box I would like to use but I dont know how it would sound in it b/c its 4cft tuned to 36hz and Mach5 recomends 3cft tuned 30hz. Or I can buy a 12" MAW and use my 12" box thats 2cft tuned to 30hz,which is about what Mach5 recomends for the 12". So which would you all do?
For $100 shipped, I say go for it! The MAW-15 may sound a bit heavy in that box, but you won't know if you like it unless you try it. If you can change the tuning of it, drop it down to 33Hz and you should be good to go.
I think Im gonna pull the trigger on the 15 then,thanks Mark. BTW Im really liking the looks of that SPL sub,I might have to pick one of them up some day.
Do it. I got both of Pete's enclosures in with a MAW 12 each and it's disgusting. Sh!t shaking and metal flexing. Also, it's quite nice on the real music.
