1. Are TI's more of sq or spl sub?
2. Do they take 750 or 1500RMS?

Give me your thoughts of the Ti's?

Ti is a good SQL sub, they get loud and sound good doing it on 1500 watts... if you can pick one up cheap then go for it... they're discontinued now as i'm sure you know

Does anyone know if there's a recone kit for them? I know RE sub can be recone by Fi.

I've just peeped out this sub yesterday and it's 750 watts RMS, 1500 MAX. Is a nice sub but I need something more.

it might be 1500 max. but the sub is underrated and can take 1500 rms no problem....

tc sounds might be able to recone it.

I thought I read in a description on the normal TI and it said 750wrms per coil.

What do used 15" normal TI's go for? or what are they worth?

its 750 per coil

I would say in the $275-$325 price range depending on the condition and such

I just bought 2 10in. SW9102's.. only got one hooked up and it sounds awesome.. got mine off ebay from some lady who sold them while her husband was out of town because they were moving houses or something... only paid $315 shipped for both subs.. they weigh like 36 lbs. each or something.... and they do rate them 750WRMS per coil as everyone else has already stated just reemphasizing that point

I also have a sw9102 and love it. Im sending it ~700 watts in a sealed box, it could take so much more power.

Its built like a beast, I sent 1200 watts across one coil (just wanted to see) for a bit and it did heat up but not to bad all around.

I just wish it had more cone area...

I think that is the only real bad point is the cone area...and maybe the price...

Yes they are in some trouble and owe some suppliers a bunch of cash. This recent "restructuring" was obviously the result of the cash flow issues, and the raising of prices and renaming the brand has backfired as I and many others predicted here months ago. But the simple fact remains that TC/AP design and build some of the best drivers in the world. If you look at other companies using cutting edge technologies in their woofers, like Dynaudio, Focal, JBL Pro and RCF, the prices are also very high... because you get what you pay for. Used drivers from all of those companies are in high demand, just as TC's are and always will be.

I knew I should have bought a few of those LMS 5400's before the price hike.

I bet I could've made $250 profit off each......if not more....

Question. Do the TI's use the same motor and basket as tc with different soft parts? How do they differ?

The TI has the same motor as the TC 3000. the TI has a titanium cone, the 3K has an aluminium cone. the 3K has a different basket also.

Also the specs on the drivers are different. seems like the only thing they have in common is the motor.
