Please Help

I was told to do 3 cu. ft. at 45 hz, but then people like had no idea why i would tune that high. What size box should i build for my Diamonds? I'm getting three 10" diamond d3's and I want to maximize as much as possible, but stay ported. Going into a Jeep Cherokee. Thanks!

and yes, good sq is my top priority, but I also want a sealed box, so maybe like 3 cubes to 40 hz?

'''''and yes, good sq is my top priority, but I also want a sealed box, so maybe like 3 cubes to 40 hz?'''

what - i dont understand ?

with a sealed box there is no port to be tuned

if going eith any mnaufacturer specs i always advise ppl to use the MAX dimentions since rec always sound like poo imo ....

was now looking at it since i have slow dial up

never used it b4 but Fs is amazingly high for a reputed SQ brand

40 & 42hz !

imo since u want more of sq i would look at something else with a lower Fs maybe some type R or something...

few wks ago i had a thread on here asking if i should tune a sub about 7-8hz lower than its Fs - i know ur not suppose to go that low below fs & ppl on here agreed with me ...it may damage ur sub

i have gone about 3-4hz below with some pioneer subs & they sound good & held up with no problems

i usually use about 1.5cuft for most 10" ported

single chamber box with 1 port or separate with individual ports ? ......

actually go figure, i called diamond and they said this box is the optimal box for 3 ten inch diamond subs...

now my problem is, my trunk is narrow and and my box can only be about 36-37" wide MAXIMUM....

Are they talking about the design in general, or that specific box?
