While i was working on my box today for my first sub, my friend told me since it is a 12" sub, you wont be able to "Feel The Pound" itl just hit faster instead of hard. He said only 15" sub like his u will feel.

I didnt see how this could be if u have enough power running to it. I got an alpine 12" type R with a hifonics 606bxi amp, he has a rockford 15" p2 powered by a sony amp and i felt his like crazy.

Basically my question is, will i be able to feel the pound still with 600 rms runnin to it?

thanks for any clarification guys

tell your friend to write an "11" with a white pen on the gain setting and it'll boost it like 200 watts

I'm sorry but your friend is so wrong. There are 10'' subs that will out "pound" his 15.

I was under the impression that when you jump from 12" to 15" the sub can then start to produce sounds that can be felt but not heard by the human ear.

a 12 can get loud lol 15's just get deeper and tend to play the lows better

15 will hit harder because of the increased surface area, the 12 will sound better doing it. Now two 12's setup correctly will be louder than a single 15. I had two Treo SSI 10's that sounded like a 15, was pretty loud... Polo.
