Turn subs completely off?

The advice I was given was to get a spst switch and run it thru the remote wire. Is this what you guys would reccommend?

Yeh, talk radio, those guys voices are too deep to listen to for any length of time. And yes, music gets old when you are driving for up to 8 hours in a day. I would like audio books, but I don't know where to get them... If I could take classes on CD, I'd be a PHD with as much time I spend behind the wheel.
