Earthquakes quality sucks too...... they're one of the more common amps I see blown

I had the D-10 (PHD-10,000) and it is also rated @ 3,000rms @ 2ohm. I switched to my RD amp and I almost gained 3db so I would say the Earthquake can do close enough to rated power.
