Scott:

What brand of alternator is it?

Did it come with a pulley and did you use that or did you use your stock pulley? That symptom is usually a sure fire indicator of a too large pulley.

I am having the same exact problem with my Iraggi alternator. The first alt he sent to me didnt fit the mounting bracket. The second one worked for about 3 months then starting having voltage problems where it wouldnt go over 12.4v and was actually pulling my battery voltage down. So I sent it in to him, He then sends me one that doesnt plug in right. So I sent it back to him, he then sends me some other customers alternator which I still have cause he is supposed to send me a shipping label to send it back to him. I received my alternator while still in possession of the other customers alt, and this damn alternator wont hold a voltage over 12.06v. I initially payed for my alternator in january and have had about 3 months of use out of it.

^^^^Thats the quick version. So I've had 5...yes 5 DIFFERENT alternators, none of which looked the same and have had about 3 whole months of use out of almost a year.

Man this is not the first bad feedback I've heard about Iraggi lately either. Sounds like it's becoming EA

Well, options for HO alts at good prices are running out it seems....... for american cars there's DB Electrical, but for imports your gonna be f*cked paying $800+ for the high priced companies

Yeah, he'll make you pay to ship it to him which wouldnt have been a problem for me if I didnt have to send it back to him this many times. I have asked for a full refund and he completely ignores that I am asking for it. The only thing he will say is, "send it in and we'll take a look at it".

Scott, whats your email?

Yeah it's like DB, MCR (motor city reman), Ohio Gen, Powermaster, and MeanGreen are the only good ones left....... and those last three are really high priced.

Damn. I live in Oregon so going down with a lawyer is out of the question for me. How long did you have problems with him? My sister in-law is a legal aid and works for a good attorney, I'm sure if it came down to it, she would have her boss write me up a nice letter to Iraggi. I just dont know how that would work from state to state though....

Well I talked to a couple of attorneys and they both said the same thing. Basically I'm out of luck and have to play Dominick's games. I can send a demand letter for a refund but they dont think it will do any good. The next step of action would be suing him but since he would be the defendant, the case would take place in Tennessee where he lives. I would spend more on the case than the alternator is worth.
