may sound dumb but is there a good head unit out there that will do 100x2 instead of 50x4 ,the vehicle im getting only has 2 speakers,and i would like to just add some components without a extra amplifier
ive never heard of anything that did more that 54x4 Watts but, what you need to look at is the RMS, not the total watts. Those 50x4 units are only putting out around 18-22 Watts RMS so you will have to get an amplifier to power your speakers.
i look at the rms on amps not headunits,u can turn a head unit up 30% or 35 of it max wattage and it dont bother nothang ,no distortion,and never seen one blow from it either,and im just looking for a headunit that puts the total power into 2 channels instead of 4,but aint heard of it and am guessing its not possibble but will not hurt to ask
