hey guys, i got a little bit of money and i saw these on sale at crutchfield and i was wondering if they are any good. i listen to a lot of rock and heavy metal but sometimes i do throw in some rap so i wanted some subs that wouldn't break the bank that are tight yet boomy at the same time. help me out are these any good or can i do better for 150 bucks for 2 subs? i was comparing them to alpines type e series but i wanted 4 ohm dvc subs.
the type e sucks man so the type s.... those polk are some kind of like a sq version of the type r pretty good subs not loud but clean and yes it will be super cool for 150 for both i say go for it
sweet thanks, im gunna order them right now. my current amp (Which sucks) will feed them 200 watts each, will i hear a huge diff if i bump it up to 300 watts per sub? or should i go to 400 watts per sub even though they are rated for 360 watts rms? im looking at the profile amps either the ap1200 or ap2000, i know ppl will say they suck but im about to go to college and have no money
