nice pricing I must say. Sad to say that I have to sell my hd3's for an even lower cost :-(. But if this new hd3 doesn't make it then my hd3 will still cost more and will be considered a legend or some sort :P.

From what I have read about the HDC3 is that is gets louder than the HD3 and sounds better while doing it. Its just a beefed up version that is offered at a lower price.

damn that thing is so Bada$$...how can they possibly beef it up and make it better and sell it for a lower price..?? Its awesome that they do tho...how do u guys think one of these 12" HDC's would compare to one 12" RD alpha??? Cuz thats wat i was going to get till i saw this monster..

hdC3

Chinese parts my young friend...

If you read the whole thread you will see that you can also use American Parts for an additional price

The reason they can sell it cheaper is because some of the parts are made/assembled in China. Hints what the C stands for in HDC3.

yeah everything for the HDC3 is off-sourced from china now. hence the C in HDC3. supposedly its going to be better however off-sourcing creates problems and quality control could very well go down. however DJ always does a good job keeping a good product so only time will tell how these new drivers perform

"These subs are designed in house and produced off shore with the best off shore parts and production methods available."

thats what DJ said so idk if that means 100% off-shore production but i think so

It may be offshored parts but they did their researched and searched for the best off source parts possible. Whichever place will be building the subwoofers, AQ has taught them their techniques in building the subwoofers to be the best as possible.

^^Yes I am also led to believe they are 100% off-shored, but like Joe said before at a higher price you can get American made softparts for a higher price.

yeah...you can't really say at this moment. the woofer you see in the pic is a prototype, you will just have to wait until the production model is out

1500-2000rms
4000-5000 peak

$245 for the 10" and $249 for the 12" and 15". The 18" is a monster and much more expensive to build. We anticipate it to come in around $299.

The production subs will all be direct connect. The subs pictured with the terminals are the 15's.

The new subs will come fully loaded with FW aluminum coil, laminated re-enforced cone, increased basket cooling, beveled pole piece, cross drilled pole for increased cooling, multiple spiders, triple stacked motor
