I can't seem to find a bigger alternator for my acura, the only ones i find are the stock 110amp ones. I know it is a Honda motor, but am unfamiliar with alternators and stuff like that. Would say an accord H/O alt or Civic alt work for my acura? Or..

I just can't seem to find one.

I cant go expensive =/
Do you think my alt is my problem if my lights dim at volume 8 on my kx1200.1. My battery died once due to my subs, but hasnt happened since, i put the gain down a little and continued playing at high volumes, but my lights still dim. Is this something I should be concerned about. Also, there is this local ma and pa shop that specifys in alternators, they rebuilt my friends. Is it possible if i take them mine (110a) they can 'rebuild' it and by doing so, make it say a 180a alt, or is this just impossible?

Idk what is good or bad for idle amperage. How does this look? but it is still a bit pricey. Keep in mind, my amp is only a kx1200.1.

lol you want a bigger alt for running 1200 rms? If your lights dim at vol. 8 thats not right. Are you sure its 110a?

I just think your alt is fucked if its making them dim at vol. 8 and made the battery die.
