Install problems in a car from "Nice Cars"

New member Username: PiercingproPost Number: 1 Registered: Apr-07 | I recently got a steal on two 12" Kicker L5s in a pro box and a 1200 watt SPI amp. All for $300. I went to install them and had some problems. My car is from "Nice Cars". Anyone who is familiar with this company knows that on the battery is a security system which activates the car so if you don't pay your payment they can turn it off. Well,I can't get the power wire to stay on because of the security system.Please help. |

First thought that comes to mind is to cut the wires going to the battery terminals, take old battery out, put a new battery in without the security thing, and put new terminals on the wires. Hard to tell without seeing it, but that seems like it would work. |

Nice Cars is a used car company who offers $0 down for decently nice cars to people who has had credit problems in the past. The downside to them, their finace charges are out of this world and the security system on the battery of course.If you're more than a day late on your payment, they shut your car off. I've had mine shut off several times while I was at work and once stopped in backed up traffic on the interstate. |
