How to hook up ure amp to see if it is blown

sry about tht last thread it got fu..ed up but how can i hook my amp up to se if it is blown besides hooking it up to the wireing? there has to be an easier way thanxx

one of my questions is if the protection lights is ON what does this means how can i fixe it my amp its not working no mre since the protection lihgt came out...any help?

"Protect" Well its kinda self explainatory. Your amplifier is trying to protect itself from exterior or possibly interior problems. Could be your wiring or I believe your subs can actually cause this too.. check over your wiring, and just kinda hope its nothing inside your amp cause thats no fun.

disconnect your subs...does light go out. Check your ground. check your rem and power wire. batttery? Alternator?

ok i was in florida and, so just open my hood and conect the battery wire is that it?

woops, i meant i am back from florida and home now . but anyways how would i do it? just conect the power wire and thats it?
