Wednesday, February 21, 2007 - 21:52 GMT will 2 L7s sound twice as loud as 1 L7 since theres two of them or does it not work that way? i have two l7s and ive only hooked up one so i was wondering if when i hook up the other one it will be twice as loud or only a lil bit louder?

Wednesday, February 21, 2007 - 22:08 GMT If you simply add an L7, but don't increase the total system power, you will only gain 3 db's(roughly). If you add an additional L7 and double the power of the system, you see a gain of around 6 db's. Like driving said, 10 db's is an audible doubling. Look at it this way, each db is a 10% increase in sound audibly.

Wednesday, February 21, 2007 - 22:11 GMT so since my amp does 700 at 2 ohms wich is one l7 and then 1200 at 1 ohm wich is 2 l7s will it go up 6dbs or just 3?

Wednesday, February 21, 2007 - 22:21 GMT so driving seems like you know a lot about dbs and i know it all depends on the install but how many dbs at the lowest point do you think ill be hitting with those two l7s in a ported box with 1200 watts rms?
