that amp really does only 1200rms and the subs can handle 600rms each. so that should be fine if your running two subs. As far as trading them for your other subs? I don't know. I would probaly sit in the guys car to see how loud his setup is compared to your current setup, and then you decide if you want to swap or not.
Actually, US Amps' ratings are wrong. On SSA, this amp is rated at 800rms @ 1 ohm and only 300 @ 2 ohms. It is capable of doing a little more thought. Since SEs "only come in dual 4" (which I don't know, hence the quotes) it would only be supplied with about 350-400 watts. I say chose another amp.
