Hi guys,
I'm ticked at Adire. I made up my mind to get 2 Brahma MKIV D4 10's over the IDMax subs and the owner Dan Wiggins says they are out of stock and aren't going to make any anytime soon!!!!!!
Then I find out the IDmax's won't fit in my limited enclosure for the 350Z as they need a 9.625" mounting hole and the largest this enclosure can accomadate is 9.250" mounting hole!
Upload
This enclosure has 2 separate .70 sq ft chambers, 9.250 mounting hole and a 8.5+ mounting depth. The Brahma would have been perfect....BUT damn their customer service! On their Adire website there are a lot of CS complaint's!
Then the IDmax mounting hole is 9.625"! Damn!!!
For power I'm running 2 PG Xenon X600.1 amps, one to each sub so I'll have a true 600wrms to each sub!
So who do I go with now boys and girls!!!! I'm looking at both the Elemental Design eD 11Ov.2 Subwoofer which really fits the amps power....OR.....the FI SSD 10"/or F1 Q 10". I like F1 Q better than the SSD because of the excursion and I want SQ first but LOUD! I like my rock vibrating the hair on my head and moving my mirrors around!

What do you pro's here think would be the best choice for my setup or do you have any other suggestions??????

SSD woudl be legit... if you got bigger amps the Qs would be good. The company isnt RL it's soundsplinter. Search soundsplinter audio and it shoudl come up. Looks like it will be a really clean setup!

Bobby...this is the same question you have been asking for the last week. Everyone who wants to contriibute their opinion has already done so, and as you found from the other post, people are getting tired of answering the same question over and over again, only to get b!tched by you if it's not the answer you want. It's getting really old. Here's the answer to your question, because you must have a hard time recalling.

yes those amps will get them going, and there is always room for upgrades in the future, possibly a kicker 1500 or something along those lines. Those PG amps are nice they will do the job, especially since you are running on the large side of sealed for those subs you wont need as much to get them bangin.

Do you think the Kicker Amp is good clean power??? I've had some people try to steer me away from that amp! That's why I bought the PG Xenon's, but I can take them and swap!

you cant go wrong with Kicker, I dont know who told you that but they are wrong. Kicker makes a great underrated amp.

Glen,

If you want to go with the ID max's, may I suggest to double up the entire baffle all over again, and/or just have some phase alignment spacers mounted over the current cutout with a larger 9 5/8" cutout to fit your ID max's. :-)

It aint over yet bud. You can do it. :-)

WELL>>>>>> after MUCH MUCH contemplation the 2 PG Xenon 600.1 amps are going to be replaced with a Kickers KX2500 amp for better compatability with the subs that I'm liking. In my 1992 300ZX I running a Kicker XS100 competition amp at 1Ohm to 2 12" Kicker L7's in a sealed box, so I like it loud, crisp and clear. I want this 2 10'' sub box in my 350Z to sound and hit at least as hard and clear as my 300ZX's if not better. That's what I'm shooting for! :D

So that being said, I'll think I will try to fit 1" spacer/phase(?) ring over the existing 9.250" mounting hole on the 350Z box which should now open it up to accomadate the bigger sub diameters as long as they are compatable for the .70 cuft space. I now can either go with the FI Q 10's, IDMax 10's, or the Eclipse SW9102's now. But which one to choose?!?!?!

I'm sure the Daytons and SI BM's are great subs, but I need more power.....
