I can get 12w7's for $400 each on ebay. Seems decent enough.

But i need a good quality amp to power them, i'm not sure if i should go with 2x 750.1 amps or one 1500.2 amp. the problem is that i can't find any good ones on ebay... at all...

any ideas?

maybe i should run both w7's on an alpine pdx 1.1000 and run them 250watt over recommended rms? or is that stupid?

can you run two subs off of a single-channel mono amp?

yes, most people do it. do you have a budget? really good deal is a sundown saz1500.1 from www.soundsolutionsaudio.com brand new for $450 shipped, but goes back up to $599 plus shipping in feb. that is if the subs are dual 4ohm and it fits your budget.

awesome thanks guys... here's the thing though, i want someone high quality power what i've now decided will be idmax 12's... i wanted to do an alpine pdx 1.1000 on each but that's way too expensive, so what do you guys recommend for a 2000watt amp i can use to to power each one but with just one amp! thoughts? thanks again guys.

2000wrms is going to be pricey. what's your budget? if on a tight budget look into hifonics, but since your going with really nice subs try to save and get better amps.

ya i don't want to skimp on amps if i'm going with idmax's

the jl 1000/1 is even more expensive than the alpine pdx 1.1000!!

cause it's jl. overpriced but very well built amp. again what's yout budget? the idmax is one of the subs i have in mind myself for my next setup and if i go that route i'll power each off a arc audio kar 1000. just a suggestion.

kicker makes great amps, i say go for it. just make sure you trust the seller, check his feedbacks and score. and just don't buy from indoaudio, bad seller.

kicker imo makes a better amp. haven't used the alpine but have heard nothing bad about it. you'll probably see more power with the kicker though, probably around 1200wrms from each. kicker likes to underrate thier amps.
