Here is a post the Scott (owner) made:

"OK... sorry, my computer is being a PITA the past couple of days... and I have a new one on the way, so bear with me :-)

2 new driver pics.

(IMG:http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h244/mozvegas/Small%20Fi%20pics/New1201.jpg)

(IMG:http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h244/mozvegas/Small%20Fi%20pics/New1202.jpg)

Based off of the same pair of magnets as the Q, but using a solid pole like the BTL so we can do the pole chamfer and full cooling, a few coil up grades, and a "SPL" version with the tighter tolerences and heavy BTL leadwire.

Pricing will start at the same prices as the Q line:
10" $249
12" $259
15" $279
18" $309

Power handling for the standard version is 1000W, with the ability to go up from there with different coil and cooling options added.

It is designed to fill the gap between the Q and BTL for low power SPL, or daily driving apps. So a "fully loaded" whatever the name of it will be sub will come in right at what a standard BTL will do (but still for a couple less $$$ and a higher qts and lighter package).

Its not a Q v2.0 or anything like that :-) It is a harder hitting daily driver with less Xmax and a little more mechanical durability.

Name and more pics to come ;)

Thanks...
Scott

Scott sent some people all the info and they can't post it at SSA either, Marshall is over there right now so whatever happens he will probably post it here. Anyways, we have most of the info in this thread and the Fi web site doesn't look like it will be updated until tomorrow at the earliest. Scott said he might set up an alternate ordering method for now. Stay tuned.

"Standard sub comes with a round wire aluminum coil, rated at 1000W RMS. You can up the thermal capacity by adding the flatwind coils, pole chamfer, and full cooling.

You will also have a choice of either the "Daily" or tighter "SPL" tolerences as well as the option for the extra heavy leadwires (as used on the BTL's) Although I would add the caveat that they should be reserved might be reserved for SPL only as they can be noiser for daily driving purposes. Xmax is 21mm."

Ben, they will be powered by a Concept CD-2410 (2410rms @ 1ohm, rating). 240amp alternator, yellow top for amp, all 1/0 wiring.

i will eventually buy a cheap SUV just to add 2 more and build a wall for all 4 and power them with a couple good SPL amps... not a f@rt car, just a groundpounder, maybe some tiny hairtricks...

That just means the gap will be tighter for the SPL option.

You get more of a chance of a coil rubbing, but you also get more motor force applied to the coils...usually results in alil more efficiency.

sombody let me hear a dammn FI sub!@!!!!!! They should call it the FI BTLFTP "BTL FOR THE POOR" lol j\p guys :-D

Who is around the south side or south burbs of chicago that has any FI subs? Preferably fully loaded BTL's in a nice setup.... i want to get subs, think the BTL's look great but hear the SQ isnt really that good and its almost impossible to hit about 150 with a single sub setup, althought that is hard to do, i heard the DD9915 can easily do it. Im so stuck in choosing what sub(s)\brand to go with...... i hate trying new brands when dishing out so much money! BLAH!!!

well depends on what you listen to and want from your system. Q more directly to SQ and BL more directed to SPL. Both would be great.

ok one more question sounds like this sub can run between 1200rms to 2000rms "2000rms is loaded" i think im going to get the cooling and flat coil so maybe some where around 1500rms or so and was wanting some ideas for a amp could be 2ohm or 1ohm? i'm gitting the daily sub. thanks

p.s. need some help don't know many amps only heard of kicker but feels like i'm paying some extra for the name.

kicker makes great amps. use hifonics for a tight budget, but get one basically right above your desired RMS. orion, jbl, re, and rockford fosgate are all good as well, but you'd be good with a kicker...

you might want a extra battery to. 1500rms is pushing it on stock charging system, unless you already upgraded, get the D1 and wire in series for 2ohm, get a mono amp that does around 1500rms@2ohms and you should be good.
