Well i was doing a little research into this FMOD thing, since my amp doesn't have a subsonic filter (jbl bp1200.1). My Q is in the mail, and i plan on installing it in a ported box tuned to 32.4hz. Scott from Fi had some worry that if i played anything that went below 32.4hz my sub would be playing in open air. After googling FMOD i have a headache and doubts about it being the solution to my problem. If FMODs are the way to go which ones should i get? Or, is there a better way, other than sealing the box, to protect my Q from over excursion?

don't worry dude, be happy.

tune the box lower. or use common sense when listening to music with low bass.

problem solved:-)

its useally safe to run a sub 5-7hz below box tuneing, i really wouldn't worry about it. since "most" music doesn't go below 30hz.
