i had 4 walmart batts @ 1 point! i killed 2 of them and killed a 200a HO alt, with 5krms! :-( none of them were deepcycled!

but 300a HO alt, and 2 deepcycles batts did okay :-)
the type of batteries u use is MOST important!
my friend has 2 SVR deepcycles, the biggest ones.. and he is about to run a MM4000d on it! so I know that will make tons of pwr, those SVR batts are amazing! Ive heard the MM4K on 2 yellowtops and its nuts! 1SVR = 3 yelllows...

My next system will be 2-3 300a HO alts, and about 8-12 16v deepcycle batts! ext regulators mounted in the dash!

FU<K THIS NEW FORUM FONT THING!!! i just did all my typing and clicked somthing it erased it all!!!!!!!
I am doing 2.8k on my 2 power acoustic mofo 12's with the earthquake phd5000d and did about 1.2-1.3Krms on my JBL BP1200.1 on my 2 10" Pioneer IMPP series 500watt subs.. i put the pioneerts in the backseat for a few days with the PA's and earthquake setup so u can say i did about 4Krms tops so far... next goal is atleast 6K rms(2 earthquake phd5000d and a kicker soloX 18")

Im running it from a 200A HO and 1 redtop and 1 yellow top.. will be getting more batterys soon once i figure out where i can put em...

i think he jsut got a little to excited when he got that amps, he didnt spill on it he spooged on it j/p
Whats the point of having a amp with a clear bottom? why not a clear top? i dont think people like to mount amp upside down just for the looks... makes things complicated.. but then so is the system ... ill stick some picks on my amps nd such soon... btw i forgot to mention my amp pushing my mids\highs... add another .5k to my current 2.8k ..im doing about 3.2-3.3K depending on freq.. of course

Ya, everything sounded good back then because it was all in sealed enclosures, no ports to mess with. When we heard that stuffing was the thing we tore old pillows up but the best was conveluted foam (egg crate foam) great sh!t for SQ! Polo.. :-)

that reminds me my friend had a pair of old school kickers in his garage. that thing must of been like ten years old or something. it belonged to his brother. when we took the subs out of the box, there were bunch of socks in there. i guess people used whatever they can to stuff their box.

lol ya but not socks, lol. I am talking closer to 15-17 years, longggg time ago, haaaa. My first set of subs were actually a set of home speaker I think they were 8" Genesis, had green surrounds and octogon shaped magnets, sound good. Had these in the back seat and a pair of Jensen coaxial 6x9's (blue surround) extrememly loud on 120watt plate amp(A/D/S). Those were the days... Polo :-)

I remember the old sherwood amps:-) they were nice. Also I remember back when 8 sets of 6x9's was the thing to do:-) Old school set-ups are great I am currently running a soundstream reference 12 at 4 ohms with 200 watts and not only does it get loud as hell but the sq is top notch:-)
