I just put an alpine type E 10" sub in my spare tire compartment with a kenwood 6202 pushin' it. And I'm wanting to replace the factory speakers with some that can handle a little higher volume. The only thing I do know is that the factory amp and speakers in there now is 2 ohm. I'd like to still use the amp.
Any suggestions on what speakers to look at? Or thoughts?
not possible, sorry. The way the factory amp does its processing it sends 200hz and aboe to the 2in speaker in the dash, and 200hz and down to the 6.5 in the door. Replace the amp and get a component set.
components are a set of speakers that have a sepearate tweeter and woofer. If you're new to it you could probably just get a set of coaxials to put in your doors and run them off the HU.
