Hey Mike,

Another question. I believe I have it right. But I connect the yellow from the radio (contant) to the Yellow/Green on my car, the red (radio) to the yellow/black (car), and black (radio) to the to the red (car) or to a new ground correct?

Thanks!

well Greg:
if your yellow from radio Constant(aka Batt/Memory) you have to connect to the LT GRN/YEL.
The red one form radio to the YEL/BLK.
and ground Black from radio to the Red or BLK/LT GRN.

yes its correct.dont worry be happy!

Hi all. I hooked up a Jensen to my 1995 Honda Accord using Mike W Lee postd (thanks, Mike!). Stil, it has power but absolutely no sound and no display lighting on the Jensen unit.

There is only one wire that I don't where where to connect in the Jensen. It's the red/black one that the diagram says is for illumination. There's no where to hook it on the Jensen stero unit. Is this the reason why there's no display on the Jensen? Any help at all would be appreciated!

I have just replaced the standard cassette/radio and speakers of my Ford Ka (2000) with a Panasonic MP3 CD player and Sony 3-way speakers using wiring adaptors with limited success. Everything works fine, but I lose all my radio and EQ settings whenever the vehicle is switched off for more than a few minutes. I am guessing that this is due to a wiring problem or that the stereo needs to be directly connected to the battery, but what do I know? If it is a wiring problem could anyone give me a diagram of what should go where?

I have 1994 Altima - I have 2 red/yellow wires and 2 red/blue wires that were attached to my stero wire harness that I'm not sure what to connect them to. If I attach the red yellow wires to a ground all my dash lights work properly, if I attach them to power they just stay on allways. The red/blue wires also stay on allways if attached to power but blow a fuse if attached to ground. Do I need these wires (red/blue)hooked up? Also should the red/yellow wires be grounded? Please help!!!!

Thank you so much Mike, But I still have a problem, I don't quite understand the diagrams that you sent me. The wire harness has been removed from the vehicle by the previous owner and the stero that I'm installing doesn't have these wires on it's harness for me to connect to. So my dilema is I need to know what to do with these wires. If you have any further info. that would be great!!! Thanks again for all the help so far.

Does anyone have the wiring diagrams for a 1995 Ford EF Falcon?

I have timelessly been trying to install a new CD player because the stock standard Ford cassette radio says "err" but I cannot figure out the wiring for the life of me! I have tried every combination but been so unsuccessful. If I can download the manuals car cassette radio wiring diagrams it will help me heaps, as I'm banging my head against a wall here.

Even if I took a photo of the stereo wiring will that help?

Virt

Hello. Looks like this is the place for a wiring diagram inquiry. I'm looking for the car side diagram of a 2001 Chevy cavalier, base model, with the factory cd player. I purchased one of the harness converters for the GM, but no go. Some of the harness connectors wires are offset from the car's wiring. The car's plug has 2 rows of 12 pins, female, and the radio has the male pins in the square plug hole. Thanks for any help! Any other info needed, please ask.

Hey Mike, can you figure this one out? 1995 Ford Mustang, non-GT, V6, with Mach 460 stereo. I wired in a JVC I think and it's all working fine, except if you turn the key to the accessory position, let it sit for a bit, then start it, it makes a really loud popping noise. I heard that Ford factory amps take a 5 volt turn on lead and the CD player I know is putting out 12. Is there a way I could wire in a resistor to stop this? If so, what size resistor and what wire? Thanks.

Hey can anyone tell me if the Panasonic Head Unit model number CQ-DF202 needs the illumination wire. I am hooking it up to a 1989 Ford Tarus and the 16 pin connector I have to go into my deck does not have the illumination wire in it (despite the packaging saying it should) but the dealer told me some models don't need the illumination wire. I hooked everything up last night without the illumination wire but had nothing on the screen and didn't hear any sound, didn't try to but in a cd though. If this head unit doesn't need an illumination wire can anyone else think what maybe my problem. Thanks

Jody,go take schemas
http://www.jencyborg.com/Jody

the difference between "Base" , "Midline" and "Base"
As I see by the schemas:
The Boss system come out with OEM AMP and VSS signal.
The Midline come out only with VSS signal.
Base system come out ,let say "naked"
VSS signal(speed signal)needed for automatical audio volume control.More speeding= louder music (automatical)!
Let me know,if everything is alright!

Hey Jenifer, sorry to bother you again -- but I was wondering...is "Joint Connector 3" (the block/box that magically splits the Front Right output of the stock headunit into Tweeter and Door Speaker outputs) an amplifier that would need to be bypassed for the headunit installation, or just a simple crossover?
