What u know about gettin loud????

Gold Member Username: Extrmndor3Chicago, Ill Us Post Number: 2079 Registered: Feb-06 | wat up people well i need to break the 150's this is my goal for this year no matter what it takes, i want mostly a sql set up, the subwoofer i want must be 1200-600 rms. here are some of my choices 2 15's fi q's 4 kickers l7's 12's (yes 4 even if they suck but they are good for spl ) 1 18 btl fully loaded 1 audioque hd315 no make it 2 4 kickers cvx's or 6 cvr's 12's 4 alpine type r's 12's 1 stereo integrity mg well people its gonna be on the explorer subs up port back with flared ports the box it will be tuned at 35hz if its between 1-2 subs and 28-30 hz if its 4 or more subs. remember that i only have 2000 rms at 1oh m to work with but i might get another 2k rms at 1 ohm in the future im open for suggestions too. |

Post Number: 1976 Registered: Apr-06 | imma have to go with the 4 kicker l7s 12's if powered properly and in the right enclosure those subs will hit 150dbs easily ALTHOUGH i do not like these subs these are the easiest to hit 150 with especially with tht much cone are it would be rediculous.... i think u should deaden ur roof lil rob..will help out the most |

If all you want is loud...4 12" L5's and 2000wrms can get you to ~150dB if you know how to build a good SPL box. In your vehicle...~10cuft net tuned to 40hz to start off...test and retune as needed (after testin, you will prolly end up w/ bout 43-44hz) tuning Subs up, port back. Line the back of the box up w/ those hooks on the floor of your explorer. It will prolly like to peak at ~48hz. |

Gold Member Username: Extrmndor3Chicago, Ill Us Post Number: 2095 Registered: Feb-06 | for testing a hifonics bxi2006 i juzz recently got it back from a shop they modded for me so it can handle .5 ohms fine and push close ot 3k rms at .5ohm pretty impressive, well with the modifications the birthsheet that they gave me said 2319 rms at 1 ohm at 14.5v pretty impressive theyjuz put bigger mosfets and bigger capaciotors. im gettin a kicker kx2055.1 on the future though |
