hey guys. muddy finally talked me into the fi ssd's i think i will be
really happy.. now i plan on ordering them by the end of the week. so
do i want Flat Wind Coil? or no. and Dual 1 or Dual 2. i cant find any
wiring diagrams that show me how to wire dual 1 ohm subs. but ive
found dual 2 and it can be wired to 2ohms or .5 ohms. so does anyone
no of a 2000wrms sub @2ohms... thanks

DVC 1 ohm can be wired to 0.5 ohm or 2 ohm
DVC 2 ohm can be wired to 1.0 ohn or 4 ohm

So as far as which coild type depends on what type of amp you have or are going to run.

I'm not expert and don't know much about the difference between the coils but subs with the flat wind coil tend to be the better buy. I've been told the differene but can't remember it... ugh. Something about allowing the coil to flow more current.. more surface area..

nope dvc 2 ohm cant be wired to one. according to crutchfield and the 12volt. here ill show you

2-ohm DVC .5-ohm load, 2-ohm load, or 8-ohm load
http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/learningcenter/car/subwoofers_wiring.html?subs =2&impedance=DVC2x2

i just cant find a diagram dvc 1ohm

The flatwind allows for a little more coil(increasing overall strength and lowering the qts)in the gap as well as a little better power handling.

the ohm config will depend on what amp you get...more than likely though you will want the Dual 2 ohms to get a final impedance of 1ohm for the amp.

whats the rms on those subs, i think there 1000wrms, if so i'd look for a kx2500.1, it does 2500wrms@2ohm, wire 2 dvc2ohm series/parrellel for a 2ohm load.
