I have limited room in my trunk and only about 8" height to work with.

Would it make a difference if I had my sub pointing up at the windshield instead of across to the back?

#3 could probably give you the most cabin gain, give the most for what you got

one of my friends has a hatchback fired up. we placed it again, firing towards the trunk. in my opinion, it sounded much better when firing towards the trunk. i haven't worked with hatch cars so i'm not that familiar with firing towards windshield. mount the sub diagonally so it will be firing at a slant towards the windshield and trunk.

in a hatchback you can fire the subs upward like so:

I have a suburban i plan on putting 8 12" in it what would be the best placement. facing the back of the truck, firing up towards the roof, or four on the passenger side and for on the driver side. if neither of these then are there any suggestions.
