Type S Alpines are a good buy at $100, Focal's Access line (165CA1) will provide you with some growth opportunities.

Any speaker that only needs 10w to run would be great.

Any good set of aftermarket needing any more than 35 would probably sound like a55 when you bend the knob due simply to the fact that most hu's are rated well beyond their actual output.

Look for a high sensitivity. Should get louder, with less.

Good luck.

Any recommendations for 6x9's with alot of output (300-500w) for pretty heavy style of music? Had a look at JVC CS-HX695. Any good?
