DD forum says it will tak 1500 rms and is recomended at 1000 for music power...and muddy often recommends 1200 watts

If it were me id stay closer to the 1000 just to be safe..

keep in mind these are CLEAN watts

tj...we are thinkin about the same setup and im looking at an ed nine.1 so if i were u taht would be a good amp cause it puts out 1200 watts at 12.2 volts

if you get a nine.1 it'd be better to run it at 2ohm. it's underrated and at 1ohm might put out to much power for it.

the whole reason i stress CLEAN watts...is b/c any sub will blow with dirty watts....but the DD's cool themselves VERY effectively with their Free Flow Cooling System(tons of vents and canals machined throughout the motor system to transfer heat and moving air around the VC)

so if it isn't playing correctly aka distortion...then it won't cool properly...thus taking away the advantage of the FFCS.:-)

...and then you blow them like andyF did....lol

lol thanx every1, i was thinkin of runnin 1 2515 off 2 ohms then later gettin anotha and runnin both off 1 ohm, im pretty good with controlling the distortion outta my subs, so should i do it?? ya and hey James i sold my setup yesterday so i should have this setup within the next couple of weeks :-) :-) :-) :-) lol

if you have the money go for the 3500 series they are awesome not only do they get loud they ound amazing also

add 20% to the 387 and i believe the 2500 is somewhere around 200 but not positive you'll have to ask someone else that knows btter then me sorry i cant help

the 3515 is too expensive for me so ill have to go with the 2515 what amp should i get..thats around $300
