Upload

with a 2CH 1000w Xplore XR-3972

ok thats what i have right now an my box is a bandpass box.
but my questions are:
i read tha manual of the back of tha amp book an it said that im only getting 85W X 2 @ 4OHMS!
that is rediculous! lol
Can i adjust something or bridge it some kind of way to get more watts?
or
does anyone know a amp that pushes out 500 X 2 @4OHM??? THATS 100$ OR UNDER?

hold on a sec...those are your excat subs^^^

they say 300watts...which lead me to believe they are around 150wRMS....

so you need an amp that does 300wRMS at either 2 or 4 ohms depending on the Vc's of your subs.

no!... sell everything and then give us a budget cuz you can get 2 subs and a good amp for 300$

2 pioneer ts-306c=110$ (don't know about shipping but is cheap)

1- Power acoustik a1000db= 170$ (highest price... you can find it cheaper)

that's it... you'll need a box, do you know how to do it??

Bandpass is hard to build it right... they just catch high bass notes nothing else... but why didn't you ask here before buying cuz you know

1-you get what you pay for

2- do it right the first time

3- read the ugly, bad, good, list

a bandpass box is essentially a one note wonder box.

unless you are a box genious...they have probably th worst freq. response as far as it being flat.

you don't need an amp that does 500 x 2 at 4 ohms.

you need a mono block that does 1000wRMS at ? ohms.
b/c i don't know what VC configs your subs are.

IF you built a custom ported enclosure...or sealed even i bet you could get them to sound way better.

what are they?

dual 4 ohm
dual 2 ohm
single 4 ohm?

found the specs on your subs.

they are 250wRMS not 500wRMS. you would have blown them. lol
and you need an amp that does 500wRMS at 2 ohms b/c they are single 4 ohm VC each.

quote:

# Brown Injected Polypropylene Cone
# Specially Treated Black Rubber Edge Suspension
# Bumped & Vented Motor Structure
# 1.5'' High Temperature Kapton Voice Coil
# Heavy Magnet Structure
# 4 Ohm Impedance
# 250 Watts RMS/500 Watts Peak
# SPL @ 1W/1M: 89.0dB
# Overall Diameter: 10.83''
# Mounting Depth: 4.92''
# Magnet Weight: 80 oz.

muddy those subs can't handle 500w rms... they will blow easily.

250w rms each is gonna make the subs sound awful...

i think nobody here will buy that system cuz they know what's the deal.. but maybe you can trick one of those dumb highschool students.

BROWN INJECTED POLYPROPYLENE CONE

i have the correct info from their site. lol

they are 250wRMS a piece. if you put double the RMS wattage to those subs(b/c they are a cheaper, unreliable brand) they would definitely overheat and blow.

the Fs on your subs is 45hz.

so i woulnd't bother putting them in a ported enclosure, you would have to tune them too high(hence the bandpass box they are in now) and you would blow them from playing below tuning.

your best bet to use those....is to put them in a sealed box.:-( and not run any more than 250wRMS to them.

if i were you, i would sell those babies!!!

you won't get much for them, b/c they retail for $45 a piece.:-)

if your budget is 200. i would go with a single sub, and an amp to push it. try looking at a cvr 15 or type r 15 and a A8002V on ebay. that will come out right around that.
