I'm looking for the best-loudest sql sub. I'm looking currently at the RE SX, AA Havoc, S.I. Mag... All the 15" models. Any opinions and suggestions? looking to spend no more then $500 on the sub(s).

no. thats why i can only give you an opinion on the re sx 18 cause i have one. i don't like to guess what certain subs sound like. i would like to own both of those subs in the future though.

i need the following info from you.

dimensions of your trunk.
how many subs and which brand
what size box
ported or sealed
slot port or aero port
tuning freq

i don't build boxes for people cause no time but i can refer you to ATF. he builds cleaner boxes than me cause he has better skills.

i just tried it out with my jl 1000/1 and it pounds.

i just ordered a orion 2500d which will do 1700wrms at 2 ohms so i will get louder. the re sx 18 i have is a dual 1ohm sub.

what if i put this http://cgi.ebay.com/HIFONICS-BXi1606D-Class-D-Mono-Amplifier-Amp-BXi-1606D_W0QQi temZ300013283032QQihZ020QQcategoryZ18797QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

and get the dual 2 ohm sub, you think that would be too much power for daily?

don't expect 1600wrms at 1 ohm from that amp. that amp is over rated and you will only see around 1200wrms anyways.

its like 30 min drive when there isn't traffic. i went there before to watch a db drag and when i went inside the store to look around, they had re subs. i was surprised cause i thought you had to order re subs direct from the company.

here is a link to that store.

I have never heard the SI mag but personally wasnt that impressed with the SX. People who I know and trust their opinion's have heard the mag and have nothing but great things to say about it. It's pricey but nice.

don't get me wrong. i am not going all re now. i still like treo. the re sx 18 i have now will be on sale in about a month or two. i am just using this for now cause i always wanted a 18 inch sub and the price was too good to pass up.

if you got the cash then go for the mag. i always value jame's opinion alot so you should listen to him. like i said before, i've never heard a mag so i couldn't comment on them. its just they are kinda pricey and i don't want to spend that much to try them out.

I have heard better thinks from about the Havoc then both of the two mentioned above. Baseball on this forum had a sx 15 then 2 re se 12's then a ava 15 and he said that his havoc destroys them all.

www.ascendantaudio.com Chad is the owner of the company. I don't like the low end Hifonic's amps but to answer your question would it work? I guess so but I wouldnt power a ferrari with a 1.8 liter Hugo motor would you?

thats a decent amount of money for a good amp, you could get a orion 1200d for that price. I don't have the time to search amps for you know but maybe later I will and post back. Call Chad and see what he has to say he is a cool guy.
