it really depends on the box. 1 guy had a 10" alpine type r from roe, and barely hit over 150. Are you looking for any sq in this sub?

adam in all honesty your not going to hit 150dB with 1 15. ask some of the guys that have been on here for awhile 150 is a very hard mark to hit.

the only way i can see it happening is if you tune to your cars resonant frequency and put 3000+rms to it. which means if you want any SQ forget about it.

150 with a single sub is no easy task. You need a decent amount of power, and have to know what you are doing. Your vehicle will matter as well, and of course the type of box you make for it.

Some subs will hit in the mid 150's, and I even believe they are some single subs that have hit in the 160's before, but I am sure they sounded terrible for daily listening.

You may want to just go with something that will hit in the mid 140's and sound great for daily driving, unless you really just want a noisy car.

TCAB = overpriced sh1t.

and good luck getting your box done and shipped to you in under 6 months.

go read around on ROE.

take a box. put the sub on the side. then put the port on the front....but make them multiple flares so you don't have to bend a slot port. no turbulence or friction from a bent port, and the ports are on a diff. side. WALLA, you have built your own TCAB.:-)

OMG the type r that hit 150+db was in a one note wonder box with 2500wrms, you put almost any sub ever made in that situation and im pretty sure they to will hit 150+db to, so ppl please stop posting that the type r is some amazing spl sub cause its not, it all depends on the install.

THANK YOU FOR SPREADING THE TRUE WORD DUSTIN. :-)

one not wonder boxes DON'T COUNT.

i could build a one note wonder box for my DD 2510

throw 2500wRMS on it for a 2 second Burp with a HUGE box tuned to my vehicle's Res. Freq. and hit the same.:-)

NP muddy, it pisses me off when ppl are like get a type r they hit 150db in a tcab box, but they don't tell you that the box is a one note wonder box, and the type r had a shitload of power. i bet i could put my 2 12inch kicker comps in a one note wonder box put 2500wrms to them and im pretty sure they to could hit close to 150db, that is if they'd last for a burp. LOL
