I have 2 alpine type R 12's ran by a directed 1100D amp. they are in a tiny sealed box, will they sound better in a bigger ported box? I want bass thats deep with long notes ( don't know if thats a good way to put it) i only listen to rap so boxes for that kinda music will benifit more, i have limited trunk space as this is in a 02 GT Mustang Coupe. Do they sell pre-made boxes that are good?
when i had the type Rs thats what i did. it sounded nice. got louder than a sealed and still maintained decent sq.
if you can build your own box it would be better. try building a box with aeroports. its easier to build and i think it has better sq than a slot port cause of the smaller port area.
