Does anyone actually follow the recommended port
sizes and length for installing high powered
subs in a ported box. I ask this because I was
gonna buy two of the Pioneer 10" 2500 watt subs
until I came across these Power Acoustik 10"
2400 watt MOFO subs. I bought a dual 10" ported
front firing sub enclosure that fits under my back seat of my Dodge truck and was glad to see
that they had a box that fits my 2001, so I hastily bought it. Only thing is I don't know
the specs of the box. It was professionally built for a purpose so I trust the construction
quality. Maybe you guys can help me figure it out. All I know is that the rectangular port on the front about an inch and a half from the base of the box is 5 1/2 inches in length and about 2"
in height. I took a tape measure down the length
of the port opening until it stopped. It was about 8 inches. Any techies can give me an idea
of what I'm working with and how I can best use it.

Forgot to mention that the enclosure runs the
length of my rear bench seat.Should be plenty
of air space in there.

It's extremely important that the box volume is matched to the subs, otherwise you'll blow them-even if they're underpowered.

Give the size measurements in LengthxWidthxHeight(don't pay attention to the bottom pic):

And type your sentences without hitting enter everytime you think you need a new line...it's hard to read your posts.

Always make sure it's a snug, but not too tight of a fit.

Sometime's it's good to have something to measure for the size you need, don't be afraid to ask for help from the front desk...It's also good to have clean socks on too...

Oh wait, we're talking about subs, not shoes huh? My bad :-).
