I took my 15" L7 sub and box outta my trunk today and i put it in the actul back of my car chevy impala and i thought it would be louder but it wasnt loud at all, how come the bass hits so much harder when its in the trunk rather then in the back seat of my car?

oh yea that does make sense because the trunk its more of an enclosed area for the sound to vibrate off of instead of teh whole actully back seat of the car. is this correct

Normally in a car is it louder to position the sub towards the front or back of the car? (with the sub box in the trunk)
