Also wanted to install a small plexiglass window in my box. Routed a small ledge to sit it on but is there some foam that i could buy so it doesn't rattle. Where would i get it? THanks

3/4 is ur answer - using a thinner mdf will result in vibrations/box flexing which = loss of enery/sound ......
