Alright, i've got a set of jl zr525csi's i plan on getting a set of zr650csi's and a new headunit. Clarion ProAudio drz9255 along with the cd changer. The clarion has a built in high, low, and bandpass crossovers at 6,12,18, and i believe 24 dB slopes. 8 Preouts for a 4 way setups. 3-way front and rear and sub. My question is can I use the digital crossover inside the headunit, and run rca's directly to the amp and then the amp to the speakers. Eliminating the passive crossover? If anyone could help thatd be great. The idea seems right, just dont wanna do it and mess something up. The amp is a 300/4 jl audio.

going active means you are eliminating the passive crossovers. you have your seperate RCA's going to seperate amps (or channels) for each driver.

you'll need more then just the 300/4 to go active.
