Im not a newb to car audio just car alarms. I know im in the wrong place, but couldnt get any response out of the security thread. Hopefully someone can help me. I have a viper 350hv and im tryin to get the trunk release working. I says that it requires a relay, so I went and got one from radio shack. Hooked it all up just like the pic and it didnt work. So I checked the trunk release output (circled in red) with a volt meter and still nothin. Did radio crack sell me a bad relay or am I missin somethin? I can hear the relay workin, just cant get anything from the output.
well if you hear the relay working its getting the signal but maybe its not sending it on. Go get another relay and try that if you get the same result look at the wiring from the relay out to the trunk release and you should eventually find your problem.
