Hooking 6x9's up to amp

how would i go about hooking up 2 6x9's to a pioneer 760 watt amp..and will it blow the speakers..yea the 6x9s are sony which suck @ss pretty much...impulse buy lol

Carefully.. Turn the gain all the way down, then turn it till the speakers smoke. Turn it back a little and your done :-)

I'm gonna guess you're talking about the Pioneer GM-5100T. If so, that amp will do 125W RMS per channel at 4 ohms. As far as blowing your speakers that'll completely depend on what model speakers your running and their specs, but I would imagine that those Sony speakers aren't ratted anywhere near that high. You might be able to get away with turning your gains down but that's certainly not the optimal way of doing things and with Sony's reputation I wouldn't expect your speakers to last very long. That's not a bad amp though in my opinion, I run a 7100 to my Type S sub.
