Hi can anybody help me with this? I have an xplod system, the amp is 1200W max 2 channel at 200w RMS each channel, and then I have 2 xplod's 12 inch at 400w RMS each and 1400W max each (DUAL VOICE COIL). I have them connected from + to +, - to - on amp on each subwoofer, but every time I turn up the volume on my radio, it shuts off and the amp protector light comes on, can you please help me?
u are under your power not enough power and it will turn off i had a 200 watt kicker amp with a 220 rms monster cable on one 10" with 250 rms and it would turn off past 10 and then i got a 250 watt amp and a new monster cable and it hits like a beast
Is it the Sony XM-SD22X or Sony XM-2200GTX, well same thing. Looks like the subs are single VC, 4ohm. Looks like you have them wired in parallel to the bridged amp so it sees 2ohm mono load. Since it's not 2ohm mono stable it is shutting off, that's what it looks like.
Its me again, i set them up at 4ohms by doing the series connection. There is more thump but it's still shutting of at a certain volume level, it might be a higher volume level, but it is still shutting of a certain level. Any other ideas? Should i still have a left and a right input?

Here is an easy solution. You should go to your nearest Best Buy, they will wire it up properly for no or very small fee, at least they will tell you and show you how it's done. They are dual 4's so you can wire them up in series individually and in parallel to the amp, the amp will see 4 ohm mono load.
