wats the most common box tunnings in a suv, car and truck for spl??

and wats the common box tunning in a suv, car and truck for sq?? no spl.

and finally wats the tuning for each type of vehicle for sql??

for spl tune it high like 38hz--40hz or u wanna go spl for 1 note get the cars top fre. an sq i would say tune it low sounds best low i think an i prefer an dont no about the cars sql

yeah i know that but i want to know wats the common resonance freq of each type of vehicle for suv i think is around 40-45 hz but i have no idea for truck or cars,
and i want to know the best tunning freq for spl, and sq for each type of vehicles

i would go like this

28-32hz - SQ

33-37hz - SQL

38-45hz - SPL

lilrob...you have an explorer, right?

if so, go w/ sub up port back. line the back of the box up w/ the last 2 latches on the floor.

your vehicle is gonna have a peak at 42-45hz. Since you are using an SX, tune to ~39hz and go from there. (if you can get on a mic, try to do some testing w/ a sealed box to find your true peak)

thanks alot marshal but i already did the box u remember that u told me sub up and port back i did it the volume was 9.8 cub ft and the tuning was around 43 hz the thing is that i did interchangeble ports so i want to have diferent configurations and im buldin some friends box but he have a car so i dont know how to tune it in a car , marshal im doing around 145 db at the dash in the termal lab wit the box and the precicion power dcx1500.1 thanks marshall

he wanted the interchangable ports but in a car i dont know how to tune it is the same in a car and suv??

if i remember right neons like to peak around 49-52hz. (only bout 70% sure on that one)

i would try tuning to 35-36hz for daily since its a truck-car.

btw...to get a box to peak at 49-50hz, you will want to tune alil lower than that freq.

usually 3-8hz depending on sub and box size.
