he is asking if he needs a sub after he installs his DLS Iridium 6.5" Component Speakers.

NO....you do not NEED a sub....but your Iridiums will not produce sub-bass freq. as loud as a sub.

yeah an he did answer u question in another thread....guess u aint like his answer....anyway....all songs do have bass....so a subwoofer would help....so if u dont want a sub to help ur expericance of music in your car....just put in a set of headphones and call it a day....have u ever seen a hi fi..home theater setup without a subwoofer.....nope....cuz they fill in deep tones....

The 6.2 will do well down to 40Hz AT LOW VOLUME.
At higher volume, the set does well to 55-60Hz. Don't confuse mid-bass drivers with subs.
Even the larger ones. If you're not fond of larger subs per se, E.D. has a good 6.5" sub on sale for 50.00. Two of them would do well. Especially if hidden. I'm seriously leaning toward them to go in my center console.
Regardless, there is no substitute for a good sub.
