just a harmless Question.....
who do you think makes a more durable sub.
and who do you think makes the better SQ and SPL and SQL sub.

just to get some healthy conversation going.....don't get out of hand.:-)

I personally would love to own a 9100 series DD.
that is their top of the line driver with SQ in mind.

also contrary to popular belief, all of the DD drivers have good SQ up to the 9900....in which case is isn't necessary.

they both make great subs but me personally I would buy DD over Treo. I like them both a lot but the dd's are just amazing. I want a 9512f to tinker around with pretty bad. although a ssx 12 would be extremly nice also lol:-)

wasn't the guy who made treo's was with dd's before?

i've never heard a dd sub but i would imagine they would be better subs than the treos.

yeah. i feel the same way. Treo's are REALLY NICE....REALLY....but DD does have that intrigue.

and their subs just look so damn mean.:-)

i think DD. i bet the put more effort into each individual driver than Treo. i would assume their build quality is higher too. form what i understand Treos build quality is great, but it seems in terms of power handling they just make a woofer with great power handling and rate it alot less so people go WOW i can put so much power to my sub! which is great but i can make a 20w sub with 50kww coil and have the most underrated sub ever. DD makes durable and great performing subs. id actually like to get some. im trying to transform my comunity form rockford and kicker to companies like DD, Treo, AA, RE, etc. and it will only work if i get them first. ive already broguth AA, Treo, RE, and SI into it. DD may be next. however i say ive broguht them here. i havent gotten to really show them off yet :-). but if i were going to the SPL lanes id go with DD over TReo. if i wanted a super loud car with some SQ. id go DD. if i wanted an SQL system i think id go Treo. but, both campanies can do all 3 of those categorys well. i just wish i had the money to own every model of each brand. :-)

then you have the 9917 which is like 1300? how much is the CSX form treo? and the 9917 will stomp it i think... now the CXT may be another story but i dont think DD has a driver with that high of a power rating...

oh and when i said are you sure i thought it was like 750-800 i meant for a 9500. the cxs i'll trust you on the prices lol. but i think DD is actually cheaper then what u remember... for what they are i thought i remembered the prices not being too bad... (for one of the greatest drivers in the world) although yes, they are kinda pricey.

amazing price. amazing sub. not quite as good as the 9900s but much more price friendly.

dont hold me too it but the CXTs are supposed to be around 1200(15) and 1350(18). i might be pulling that out of my as.s but i know ive heard that somewhere.

:-) ahhhhh
DD is the ultimate SPL woofer... it also sounds alot better than people think.. but for daily street beating, Ill choose Treo. Treo and DD are so similar its not even funny.. Treo recomends tuning their subs to DDs specs.. 38hz.. :-) They really come alive!
Durability, they both are hard to beat, but the DDs are about indestructable as can be.. :-)
