I have a Pioneer 860MP HU.
I had a sony explod Old School HU.

The question is : My HU mounting bracket thing (the plastic piece that holds your HU in place) it fit my explod perfectly and I decided to use it Temporarily because my new pioneer HU does not fit flush like my sony did because of a 1/16 - 1\32 gap all the way around my HU.
So I thought I would go to my local circut city and buy a mounting plate with a smaller hole and the sales man said that they only sold one size of HU mounting brackets and he said to just spread out the tabs more, So I did and now it is more firmly in place but there is still that anoying gap.

So was he right or just a typical idiot?

Are you talking about the cage that the headunit slides into and locks in place?

Yes if that is what it is called.

My HU sinks back in because the hole is too large.

860MP's does not play videos and or your CD is the wrong format.

I just want to know if they make a HU mount with a smaller hole so that my HU will fit flush?
