I'm just about done with my box for 3 10's, I am wondering if I should predrill the holes before I screw in the subwoofers themselves????

In the past I have not predrilled but just drilled in, what should I do??

Haha, yea I just drilled them in and it seems ok. It turned out amazing, I can't believe how great they sound, probably the best sounding subs i've ever heard, and it's my first box!

predrill all the time. If you don't you can get it where the wood gathers on the edges and pushes back up. I like to predrill with a very small bit and then screw in.

Yea chauncey they are, and they hit so crisp and beautiful, and they are only excurting half way!! I don't have enough power to push them all the way, my next buy will have to be a new amp, maybe a JL 1000/1 and run them at a 4 ohm load..

Predrilling is required with MDF or it will just disintegrate.
