I'm looking to do the big 3 in my Cutlas. I can't figure out for the life of me how to attatch extra wire to my stick wire on the alternator. I also want to know if it is ok to run the positive off of the alternator to the fuse box/extension GM provides? that is where the power from my amp is coming from...the way my battery is mounted is ridiculous...I have almost no room to add the sidepost extension bolts...any thoughts?

Josh - you can buy new battery terminals, that will screw in allowing your stock wire to be placed normally, then it actually has a longer post that screws into the piece that replaces the original screw.

Also, you dont have to add wire if you really cant attach anymore.. you can replace with a larger gauge...adding too is just in general recomended because it cant hurt to keep the stock wire, only help.
