Ok, the problem is that it's a GM. My question is this...GM cars have a positive battery extension by the main fusebox. If I do a big 3 upgrade can I run the positive from the alt. to that extension post?
on an amp? if its for your amp i wouldnt, wiring past that point may be not thick enough and could get hot burn and short. if its for you HU, after a while of having it on the alt. you start to hear motor noises in you speakers.
I'm not sure I get what you're saying. I want to know if running the new wire for the big 3, probably 4 gauge, straight to the positive extension post which is where the positive for my amp is hooked up, would be ok. I am getting some minor noise right now and I can't figure out what it is...probably bad ground.
