Ugh...So hi, my name is Jeff, I'm brand new here. I have a pretty good understanding of car audio matters, I was an installer for about 6 years. I have an idea as far as a solution for the problem I am proposing here, but thought I'd ask for help. I have a 2003 Sable, it has the all-in-one radio and heater/ac controls intigrated. Now it's not the knob setup, it's the digital screen with the buttons. This sucks. Any suggestions?
Okay, now here's my idea: Buy a replacement radio/climate control unit and buy a dash kit for the lucky ones that have the knob controls, cut each of them in half, bondo or glass them, sand them, paint them, then voila...A dash kit. It's expensive, and it's probably a pain, but I'll deal with it. Is that looking to be my best option, or does anyone have any other ideas? Please let me know.
