thats alot of power for an L7. u could get the 1200d and it will power it more than enough.

so with my two L7's hooked up to two orion 2400d (the west coast custom amps) would not blow the subs even running at one ohm? would i just turn the amp down some?

ohh, those wcc customer amps go by max ratings, so still you should be fine. the wccd2400 is a 1200rms amp! u need to only use RMS numbers!

orion doesnt make a 2400D amp. they have a few smaller amps, but the big ones are 1200D and 2500D, they call the WCC amp a 2400 watt amp becuz it is 2400 max which is not as important as the RMS its just to make ppl go, "ooo 2400! thats more than 1200!!" but really its just an orion 1200D. i have one.

2400d as in the west coast customs amp only puts out 1200 watts total or 2400 total?

2400 total but that number is irrelevant. 1200 is the number u need to know.
